Local Bookshops

WHSmith

Birmingham B37 5TX, UK

Get that holiday feeling with last minute purchases for flight

Shop is very over priced and not very welcoming on entering also extremely hot so if you end up in there for any length of time it's very uncomfortable only nice point was the chap behind the counter was very friendly and is good for harder to get stationary items.

The Works

5a The Fort Shopping Park, 20 Fort Pkwy, Birmingham B24 9FP, UK – 0121 386 4122

A bit cramped and it's never a good idea to take in wheelchairs or buggies. The prices are good. And it's one of those places that even if you had no intention of buying something, you do anyway. Recommended for all those who teach and parents with young children. As there's plenty of arts and crafts stuff.

Superb! The staff were very friendly and helpful. They helped me get what I was looking for. That stock is a little limited in terms of crafting materials but it's acceptable.

The Works

40, Chelmsley Wood Shopping Centre 1, Greenwood Square, Birmingham B37 5TR, UK – 0121 788 0857

The Works is a great little shop and have been to many different ones in the past. It's always worth popping in now and again to see what they have in stock or what offers they have on. I would say that what they sell is good value and you can get some really good bargains. Staff are usually polite and helpful too.

Not as big as some of their stores but plenty on offer. Great staff aswell.
